No Visa Restrictions On Russians In London - Lbc

Recommended Posts

Petrie Hosken, whose filling in for Kay Burley, whilst discussing MH17 crash mentioned that the government can't put visa restricting on Russians in London as in her borough it would crash the house market.

She seemed sure that nothing could be done as London is so dependent on their money. ?

Obviously Hitler missed a trick, all he needed to was ensure that the Nazi party bought a lot of prime London property and his plans for world domination would have gone smoothly.

It's a very naive assumption. Probably shows how dumb and desperate people with skin the London market are becoming.

The US is getting very uppity and moral - see HSBC, etc. I doubt the Dutch are too happy about the Russians at the moment.

One of the few routes open to the West is to make life hellish for the rich Russians, forcing them back to live in their own mess, hoping that they'll fund or cause change at the top.

If that philosophy actually worked the Islamic world would have gone through a reformation years ago. Instead the rulers that make the rules live in Europe/ USA and don't have to endure them.

An interesting example was Mugabe's govt. he didn't care what the west said until his wife and cronies were banned from the west. Then he played hell. After all what is the point in thieving your peoples money unless you can spend it somewhere worth actually living in?

Doing it would also send a message to other (suspicious) people from dodgy states around the world that the UK might hold you to account, and the UK govt is loath to do that.

Why should any visa restrictions be put on Russians? What a strange thing for someone to ask or discuss.

Well, even I would be in favour if it was not just Russians. However, I suspect Osbo won't do it because it would cause a HPC.

Frankly, I would put Uk and the US at the top of the list for 'dodgy' states, so I'm not sure how your list or restrictions would work.

As you probably know, London is the home of most financial criminals. It harbours many wanted people currently and was the home of Madoff fraud, Lehman fraud etc etc etc.

Suck it up ... :lol::lol::lol:

The New Defence Secretary Michael Fallon has accused Vladimir Putin of ‘sponsoring terrorism’ and delivered an ultimatum to Russia’s leader: ‘Get out of Ukraine.’ In the most outspoken response to the crisis from any senior western politician, Mr Fallon said Putin must be taught he cannot get away with ‘egging on’ Russian separatists blamed for the attack. ‘We have to make it very clear if there is any more interference like this – and it turns out he was behind it – there will be repercussions. He has to be clear the West will act.’

For the UK to accuse another country of 'sponsoring terrorism' is a bit of a joke. Same goes for America. They both have a history of doing it.

Well yes the UK attracts dodgy characters and money from around the world. Action towards Russians would spook them and the money they bring hence it wont happen unless kicking and screaming.

And yes we all know there are plenty of dodgy characters from this country, and overseas actions by this country. But it is also one of the most lax towards foreigners with money too. See how weak the actions have been so far have been towards Russia, and this quote 'if there is any more interference like this' is another statement to say don't do anything in future whilst we overlook what has happened now. It has no credibility.

That's from the Daily Mail. so probably a completely fabricated story.

One last shot at redemption or we jolly well won't sell you any more million pound semis in Stoke Newington.

London and its property market in particular is built on foreign blood money.

Talk of taking action won't be allowed to affect Putin's cronies. Any measured will be pure spin.

The Daily Mail is Britain's equivalent of the Nazi propaganda organ, Die Bild.

Thought that was the Volkischer Beobachter...
