Tesco Finest Range To Extend To Housing...

Recommended Posts

Landbanking supermarket runs aground when it starts tkaing the piss. Then converts to housebuilder as hasn't anything better to do with land, although it has served its purpose in their eyes blocking competition. If Tescos did politicians and bankers.

Oh.

What about a value range as well?

Perhaps Tesco should expand into being a housing association? Will all these new houses have a purpose built Tesco shop and perhaps a Tesco pub?

I don't think I want to live in a house which is blue and white with value stamped on the side. :P

Perhaps Tesco would be better at building houses than selling goods. They seem to be able to get planning for anything they like on green belt so why not houses.

Bullying councils does not take as much skill as that required for building houses.

If I could buy one I wonder if I could use my Club Card to get some money off the asking price?

I don't care if it's a 3rd rate supermarket chain who builds em. As long as there is an increase in the supply of housing to counter the high prices then I'm a supporter of this proposal. It might even kick the other house builders into action to do something with their land banks.

The councils should tell Tesco where to go as the sites where given planning permission for shops not houses, they won't as the brown envelopes will be large.

. . . together with the threat of hugely expensive litigation. Every little helps.
