Installing Double Glazing In Ni

Recommended Posts

Is there an equivalent organisation to FENSA in Northern Ireland?

as homeowners who use FENSA registered installers do not have to apply for approval from Local Authority Building Control. Furthermore, homeowners who use a FENSA registered installer will receive a certificate which acts as documentary evidence that the installation work has been self certified as complying with the Building Regulations, essential when it comes to the sale of your property.

Or has anyone here purchased glazing from a manufacturer and then installed their own glazing? If so, would you have any comments on, and cost of, having it signed off and certified by the council or whoever it is that does this? Precisely, who is it that does inspect/ sign off?
