House Of Commons - Talking About Housing Supply

Recommended Posts

Several MPs have stood up and said "we are not NIMBYs in my area" and then gone on to say something pretty NIMBYish.

I chuckled when the MP for St Albans said "we are not going to give our land away" (in the sense that she wanted land values to stay high).

Yup because property rights stretch into infinity beyond any land that you actually own. Therefore sitting here in Yorkshire I could oppose building on Mars

How i wish the Germans had won WW2 and taken all this f'en land.

This govt wonders why young kids are running off to Syria and Iraq, well maybe if they had something to stay such as a job that could afford to run a house, wife and kids then they may not go.

It would be Karma if one of those kids were to vent their anger on those in Westminster.
