Because at some point it stops beings a "thing" and becomes a fully-fledged human being [1], so if she keeps smoking 20 a day, she's at the very least guilty of forcing her addiction onto another person. [1] when it stops being a thing and become a human being, or even if it ever was a thing at all, is the cause of all the fighting over abortion. So let's not go there. It is all part of the middle class London media characterising 'northerners' as uncouth and stupid people - like when they show working class girls enjoying the races at Aintree and pick the fattest, ugliest, drunkest pictures of girls out enjoying themselves that they can. It's a bit like X Factor when the audience is given someone obviously bad to laugh at and bait. Most don't realise it is because they obviously have some mental health problems. Ain't nice.
