May I Recommend... 3 Hours Count Arthur Strong Radio Special

Recommended Posts

With sterling support from Mark Radcliffe - he's really good at this!

The best of the radio shows (including Barry Cryer) interspersed by the noble Count talking about his life to Mark Radcliffe.

If anybody has just seen the BBC2 series this is head and shoulders better; why the TV bods insist on ruining decent radio shows with their own desperately unfunny ideas escapes me.

On until next Sunday 6 July.

You can have a comedy slot with me!

The only reason I'm not on Radio 4, being not funny, is the tube doesn't get here!

I`m an enormous Count Arthur fan.

In fact I have all the radio shows on CD and play them on rotation while I`m messing around in my garage/workshop.

I liked the TV show too but nowhere near as much.

I hear they`ve commissioned a second TV series

I didn't warm to the radio shows at all, although they seem to be very popular. Just didn't tickle me at all, in fact I grew to loathe it as the 6:30pm comedy slot became a no go area.

Radio 4 has a comedy slot? News to me.

I think it's called 'The Today Programme' or something. More likely to make you cringe than laugh though.

Thank you, thank you Frank Hovis!

Don't know how I missed this.

You're welcome Flopsy :)

Good to see some fans of the funniest thing on the radio for years are on here.
