Mr Jib Fingers
When are the trials starting for the other newspapers that were implicated in the phone hacking scandal? Oh hang on I forgot the whole thing was designed to bring down Murdoch after they stopped supporting the Labour Party.

Bruce Banner
When I said good, I meant that Cameron now has egg on his face. As for the verdicts, the jury were unanimous in the guilty verdicts and returned innocent verdicts, as they should do, when the prosecution failed to prove guilt. zugzwang
I guess she's known as 'fragrant' in the eyes of the Law. Little Lawful Annie.
The Masked Tulip
I thought that she had previously admitted at that Parliamentary questioning that she had paid money to Police Officers for information but didn't think it was illegal? Did I dream reading and hearing that?
MrPin
"We need a sacrificial lamb." "And if I can obtain for you this animal..?" (The Simpsons) That's what it sounds like to me Mark! Ill_handle_it
If you want to congratulate Rebekah Brooks on her being found innocent, remember you can leave her a message on your own voice-mail.
man o' the year
Coulson has found out he has not climbed high enough on the tree to escape the stink from below nor to stop being crapped on from above. Brooks - I tried to post a link to the cowardly lion song from Wizard of Oz where he says "The NERVE!" but cant get the link to work on HPC new interface.. As for Charlie he'll be OK with his "porn" so he doesn't need his frigid wife.
thecrashingisles
With the dirt she could have dished on people at high levels there was NEVER going to be a serious attempt to find her guilty of anything. So millions of pounds on investigations, hundreds of police officers and dawn raids were not a serious attempt to find her guilty of something? I think you've wandered off into conspiracy land. blobloblob
18 month sentence so that means he'll serve 9, doesn't it? The other consideration is which prison he serves it in I suppose.
Hail the Tripod
18 month sentence so that means he'll serve 9, doesn't it? The other consideration is which prison he serves it in I suppose.Cleverly done. Apparently he's in Belmarsh for 3 days before transfer to Ford open prison (the one with the nine hole golf course and swipe cards to let yourselves in and out). The BBC made a big deal about how he'll be spending tonight locked up with hardened criminals, and neglecting to mention the imminent transfer to rich people's prison. Venger
Not sure the judge here sees any bubble. I might as well join in with the Excuse-Giver Masiv and say he should have his costs to pay cut right back. winkie
For a lot of people a few months in prison is the preferable option than the force sale of home and assets and taking children out of private education......for very many ordinary people they are forced to do that every day, no crime committed.... Why do some think they are more special and entitled than others?
