Most Overpriced Slum In London

Recommended Posts

The Clapham one is truly ridiculous - no garden and that level of money?

Re: the Hackney one, if you know the area then you'll know that that street faces London Fields, so whether you like Hackney or not it is probably one of the most desirable streets around. Still toppy though! Tiny garden.

This house below is more ridiculous - currently under offer just a smidge below £1.5m with a lot of work needing doing:

The pictures are flattering. Rightmove shows the highest achieved in the street around £1.3m but for houses in good condition!

My only guess is that the Clapham property is being used for laundering drug money. More than £750k for 600 sq feet directly facing the South Circular, with the price going up by £150k in 18 months. Truly insane.

This topic is called "The most overpriced sh*thole" over in the "Classics" section. I've contributed alot, so have a good idea what qualifies as a slum. This one has been a long standing favourite of mine.

Saw that one before! It's still available for cash only! (fat chance) It's not far from me, I might give them a ring for a viewing, see if I can find out the story behind it and if anyone else has ever looked at it! :P

Edited by renting til I die

Makes me laugh that one can afford to own (park) a porsche cayman / panamera outside but this is the level of affordable house!

Please view it. I know it will be embarassing. Take one for the team.

It's been on sale for at least 8 months. I'm calling the top when if it ever sells.

The porsche has to be an EA plant. Really lures you into wanting that peice of prime London residential property doesn't it. Ha ha just love that house/flat/porta cabin. The London property market is so ridiculous you might as well laugh at it :)

Hmmm...I was thinking it was either the Estate Agent's or the vendor's. The 'garage' could have my old M reg Escort parked outside - it is still an overpriced sh*thole.
