Chinese Debt Crisis..... The Black Swan Arrives?

Recommended Posts

I wasn't aware that issues are coming to a head in China, though obviously they've had their own problems not just the West. I wonder if rising interest rates here together with a shock from China might shake things up a bit? These things tend to have a ripple effect. I'm also thinking HSBC might not be the best place for my savings.

In the longer run who knows what a nasty recession could do for Chinese nationalism, given that Japan and other neighbours are already bearing the brunt of Chinese territorial ambitions. Just a thought.

It's all numberwang. Every country is in debt, it's absolutely meaningless. We are genuinely in a new paradigm IMO, massive production and consumption and the only way to 'pay' for it is by essentially giving money away.
