House Price Crash Forum

I ought to add that I'm not nearly as much of a sanctimonious **** in person as I appear in text, if that makes any difference.

I'm sure you aren't! But Chester is a bit of a trek just for a pint! If you are ever down in London feel free to drop me a PM and we can discuss overpriced houses and coffee over a pint!

Just out of politeness I'll reply now.... I'd like to come to such a meet-up, if your offer extends to me, but can at this point can only say, can I think about it for a bit. :) Thanks KWSN.

Got to check my plans with someone else.

I know I'd be a lot happier coming to a meet-up when the market has gone back towards some reasonable level of affordability - and can hope the start of that process is imminent. Can't wait for the day - and I believe it will happen - many members of the forum begin buying homes without as much fear as today (even happily); at fair value, and homes that meet more of our individual small aspirations - such as a decent garden, off-road parking etc.

Probably mostly to keep my own spirits up, a few times I've spent some moments pondering what token but smart/pretty/useful or hpc-memorial house-warming gifts I'd buy my regional friends on the forum, to give at a meet-up, who've been fully through this trying market with me, and came through it ok. Not that I've found anything too original yet.

Would be great, but in consideration of some of the north west members I might need a body guard. Maybe RK would oblige.

That's a shame.

It was last weekend, we all had a great time.

Good to meet you all. Well not you, obviously, but everyone else.

If you thought that was bad, you should see me after 15 pints. Edited by 7 Year Itch

No bodyguards required, good to get more interest. I'll put you on the list 'crashmonitor', not sure if RK's post signals interest.

PM this week sometime with some potential dates/locations.

Thanks but I'll decline. I'll PM you.

I'll come if Megatrain and Travelodge can sort me out for under 70 quid all in! I do enjoy a ride on a Pendolino....

Can you put me on the list for the details... I know from organising one of these before "down South" it can prove more work than you thought it might to put it together ;)

It is a bit of a trip, but I feel I should..

DTM- noted

Riedquat- lighten up, you sound like you need a pint or two. I promise not to mention green belt!

No thanks with the pint or two, I'm still feeling the ones I had last night! Although there's hair of the dog I suppose.
