People may have 'lie-to-buy'-ed thinking that they could easily get out of their debts with the new bankruptcy laws if it went wrong, but presumably if the mortgage company can go to the court and say 'but, your honor, this fraudster lied to us about their income, otherwise we wouldn't have given them the mortgage, honest', they might find it's not as easy as they imagine.
