Ashley Avenue, Off Lisburn Road

Recommended Posts

Does anyone here know much about Ashley Avenue which when you're on the Lisburn Road, is the next street just to the right of Tates Avenue.

Someone I know is thinking of renting a place down near the bottom of the street.

I warned them about not renting in the Holy Lands area (as they're not a sudent).

Would anyone have any knowledge about this particular avenue? Thanks.

If that's an apartment block, then no. It's a house.

It's not a bad street, same as most round there TBH. Only thing I would say is cars do get damaged and stolen but it's the same for most streets at that side of the road.

So you wouldn't say it's student-land in the way the Holy Lands area is? It would have some owner-occupiers, mature tenants, families.

Not student land but still a fair number of students just not first years.

More youngish renters. I'd say mostly under 40.

I lived on this street for a year or so in a new build block of 8 flats around five years ago. It's fine , I had no issues. Definitely better than the holy lands! I find with bt9 the more compact the houses eg terraces the more studenty. Some nice terraced streets a bit further up like Adelaide avenue etc. I decided to move on and pay 200 more a month for something nice on Adelaide Park and then bought something in 2012
