OnlyMe
Whether the business could be sold off as a going concern is another matter. However, I'm in no doubt that the insistance on using "brownfield" developemnt and the total lack of planning and provision has probably played another key part in destroying the potential future of this country. We are going to go down and we are going to go down hard and a million acres of retail park are not going to save us. The BOE can wait all they like for business to pick up the reins - it isn't going to happen, the situation is already totally out of control. Jobs go as BSA closes http://www.thisisredditch.co.uk/worcesters...WS_LATEST0.html THIRTY-nine workers at a Redditch castings firm are to be made redundant just weeks before Christmas. ... The employee, who did not want to be named, claimed the receivers were not interested in pursuing the offer because they wanted to sell off the site for property development. eek
In which case they are total idiots. Casting works are near enough the most contaminated land you can find (bar Darlington's new West Park where the parkland part is on the site of an asbestos factory, the surrounding land used for over expensive housing).
