Meacher's Cat Speaks Out On Bedroom Tax

Recommended Posts

I'm glad Michael Meacher has finally spoken out as he is widely regarded by Christians everywhere as the foremost contemporary interpreter of the scriptures and the ultimate recourse when archbishops and the pope have questions regarding faith.

Thou shalt fill thy boots with BTL and deprive future generations of a house and condemn them to eternal damnation. As the Word was written by Meacher and hence forth how it shalt be.

Meacher is a landlord VI, but he is absolutely right on this point.

People are losing their Housing Association homes and becoming homeless because there is no suitable alternative accomodation.

Housing benefit is paid in arrears. Because of the 'bedroom tax', many people inevitably fall further behind on their rent.

Housing Associations will not allow residents to 'trade down' to smaller homes (i.e. swap with families needing more accomodation) because the Housing Associatiosn will not permit a resident who is in rent arrears to do this.

In the private sector, there is hostility to people on HB (whipped up further by the government) so finding suitable accomodation privately becomes difficult, especiially when there is competition for affordable rentals.

Its all part of the plan to drive benefits down, so that wages can be driven down in turn, all for the benefit of you-know-who.
