Why Living In Chelsea Could Be Deadly

Chelsea, Kensington and Westminster may be some of the most exclusive areas in Britain but they have the worst air pollution, Public Health England figures show

Living in England’s most exclusive postcodes could be deadly as research has shown people in Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster are three times more likely to die due to air pollution than in greener areas.

Long term exposure to polluted air is linked to around 25,000 deaths in Britain each year and takes six months off the average Briton’s life expectancy, new figures from Public Health England show.

But in central London the risk of dying is far higher than average because of the large level of particulates in the air. There are around 3,400 deaths in London linked to poor air quality each year, the statistics show.

And you pay a huge premium for killing yourself. Still more jam more London you can't go wrong!

For now, but in those postcodes they'll all be driving teslas and hybrid bentleys soon instead of the poxy diesel chelsea tractors so the particulates will be falling quickest where it's richest.

If there are any nuclear strikes on the UK, it is fairly likely to be the centre of London that is targeted. While there is not much chance of that tomorrow, the probability of a strike in the next 50 years will be much more significant than a small number of deaths from pollution.

Don't be ridiculous, no one buying in Chelsea is going to go to their grave early from all the pollution - most of them never bother to visit their new property purchase.

That's basically what I was going to say. I do think living in Chelsea is deadly though, deadly dull that is.

Sounds like they're trying to get some to sell/discourage buying competition so that some telegraph VIs can buy a few more - or maybe just an attempt to temporarily relieve some of the bubbleloon pressure.

No! It's one of the safest places so don't sell - drive the price higher (pop!)
