Worried About Home Security - This Is How To Build A Fortress

Recommended Posts

I think this house was featured here many months ago.

If this is the level of security that is necessary in this environment then I believe you would be perpetually at risk in all aspects of living. Not a pleasant situation to be in, and one that would lead to its own stresses and strains.

This degree of security could of course be down to paranoia.

......Location, Location, Location......not a recommended location by the look of it. Or is a place where they think other people would want to enter? ;)

A friend of mine lived in a location in Manchester, where he was obliged to fit bars to the downstairs windows, for insurance reasons, and the takeaway wouldn't deliver to that postcode.

Seen that, love the concept, but I still think that the outer wall is too low and that the side with the roller shutter is still heavily penetrable (no pun intended).

If you need all that then don't live there. I lock up and alarm my house when I'm out but I'm happy to have a doze in the garden in the sunshine without having a shotgun in easy reach.
