Self Build In Dorset

Recommended Posts

I am in touch with the planning department of Dorset council with regards to getting involved in a group self build project where effectively we'd get land very cheap to self build on at our expense. Though the houses would effectively be on long leasehold and would not be able to be sold on at a profit.

This idea has been running for sometime but what is needed are more people who are financially able to get involved and have a connection with the area.

Get in touch for more info and to fill out application forms.

Thanks for that, any chance of a link ?

I read on a hippy forum recently, that only by banding together in groups would self build be successful, due to the extra lobbying power of the group

Can you private message me your email address i will send the form that the council is giving out to get people registered.

There is a group who have been on with this for a while and failed the first time, but the council seem willing to help this time.
