Paul Simon In Administration

Recommended Posts

http://www.theguardian.com/business/2014/apr/02/paul-simon-home-furnishings-retailer-administration

I'm not sure what is up here with a bizarre statement but adds to the recent carpet right profit warning. I would like to see the housing transaction volumes split between newbuilds and non newbuilds If they are available? I suspect the growth in transaction volumes is in newbuild sector which would tally with news. However, home retail ( argos, homebase) and Kingfisher (b and q??) have seen improved trading.

This is not advice.

I obviously don't live in a posh area as I assumed Paul Simon was a musician and not a carpet store. Is Fatty Artgarfunkels still selling burgers?

Me too. As a renter, I've never purchased a carpet. I got close to some in John Lewis once or twice, but I was never tempted.

"The problem is you have too much debt", she said to me

The answer is easy if you take it logically

I'd like to help you in your struggle to be free

There must be fifty ways to pay your loans back

She said it's really not my habit to intrude

Furthermore, I hope my meaning won't be lost or misconstrued

But I'll repeat myself, at the risk of being crude

There must be fifty ways to pay your loans back

Fifty ways to pay your loans back

You just sell off the flat, Matt

Pawn that old ring, Jim

Get a part time job, Bob

Just get yourself free

Put it on eBay, Ray

It's not hard to say

Just drop off the key, Lee

And get yourself free

Hello bubble, my old friend

I've come to flirt with you again

Because some hard ramping

Left its seeds while I was sleeping

And the vision that was planted in my brain

Still remains

With pension Pounds reliance

In restless dreams I rent alone

Narrow streets of cobblestone

'Neath the halo of a street lamp

I turn my collar to the cold and damp

When my eyes were stabbed by the Daily Mail website

That sounded right

Bringing round my compliance

If we're doing Paul Simon songs, there's one linked to in my sig called home foreclosed. It starts like this:

I'm thinking in a coffee shop

Got a mocha with a frothy top

We bought a home in North West 3

Where prices rose fantastically

And so for years it seemed to be

The house was earning more than me

Home foreclosed

We've lost the lot

Home foreclosed

Home, where my MEWing bled me

Home, where I blew my equity

Home, where my debt lies waiting

Silently for me

Too good. Bravo.

Estate agent said to me:

Buy yourself a home, boy

And he also said to me:

Property prices never fall,

It's the same old story,

Everywhere I go,

I get gazumped with Help to buy,

Just to keep the Government satisfied, satisfied
