SPECTRE (SPecial Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion)

Image a group powerful enough to manipulate the Governments of the West into taking on huge UN-repayable debts.

A group that makes £ Billions/Trillions during the fake boom, and then becomes "too important to fail" in the following bust.

A group that can blackmail Governments by threatening to collapse the economy.

A group that no one dare pursue.

Welcome to SPECTRE.

Our Parliament is now back to the time of Charles I, back to a time before the Civil War. Then the King declared that he could override the will of the people, because he had a divine right given to him by God.

Now we have a new ruler , and our politicians knee before them. We have given them the divine right to rule all over again. Perhaps if Charles I had told Cromwell he was too important to fail, then his head would not have been removed?

Just who do you vote for when the three main political parties all have the same vested interest, and that interest is a criminal organization, in all but name?

We have been hearing a lot about Vladimir Putin in resent news. Putin maybe a criminal, but at least he is running his own criminal outfit.

In the West we have puppet Governments run by fraudsters and crooks.

In effect the world is run by two criminal groups SPECTRE in the West and SMERSH in the East.

Happened in Japan, happened throughout history.

Unsustainable Debt-money is just too lucrative for some to not be relentlessly pushed.

Dont think its a 'conspiracy', just people, until starving, are too ambivalent to dare change things.

Nope. They want in on it. That is the power, chicken and egg need each other to power the system.

+100

My feeling is that the 'anger with the bankers' wasn't so much because they didn't get jailed, but more like the anger you would reserve for your local drug dealer getting caught. No supplies of skunk for the weekend.

Bankers profit by diverting income from workers and capitalists to service debt.

Bankers thus have a built-in incentive to create ever greater amounts of debt.

The UK economy is run by bankers' representatives to advance the interests of bankers above all others.

The plot of Quantum of Solace was about a secret organisation (Quantum) which had friends in high places, and hijacked resources such as water in South America and removed and toppled governments that wouldn't sign service agreements with them.

There was a plot to Quantum of Solace?

There was a plot to Quantum of Solace?

By all accounts it was a troubled production. So, rather than writing a script they just attempted to dramatise the Bechtel story instead

wiki: 2000 Cochabamba protests

The interaction between corporate entertainment and the Military Industrial Complex is an interesting one. Lots of liaison going on, some legitimate attempts to air subjects of genuine social concern, a lot of pre-programming, distraction and conditioning of public perceptions.

In that respect the CIA (usually portrayed as being good, or at least well-intentioned e.g. Argo) clearly has better liaison reps than the NSA (almost invariably bad e.g. Enemy of the State).

wiki: CIA influence on public opinion

The first time (to my knowledge) the NSA was referenced in corporate entertainment was in an episode of Star Trek (s2 e26, 1968), seven years before its existence was officially acknowledged. Likewise the CIA in the James Bond stories.

wiki: Joseph Stieglitz

Joseph Eugene Stiglitz, ForMemRS, FBA (born February 9, 1943) is an American economist and a professor at Columbia University. He is a recipient of the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences (2001) and the John Bates Clark Medal (1979). He is a former senior vice president and chief economist of the World Bank, and is a former member, and Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers.[1][2] He is known for his critical view of the management of globalization, free-market economists (whom he calls "free market fundamentalists"), and some international institutions like the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
Joseph E. Stiglitz said today [Nov. 24, 1999] that he would resign as the World Bank's chief economist after using the position for nearly three years to raise pointed questions about the effectiveness of conventional approaches to helping poor countries.[48] In this role, he continued criticism of the IMF, and, by implication, the US Treasury Department. In April 2000, in an article for The New Republic, he wrote:

They’ll say the IMF is arrogant. They’ll say the IMF doesn’t really listen to the developing countries it is supposed to help. They’ll say the IMF is secretive and insulated from democratic accountability. They’ll say the IMF's economic ‘remedies’ often make things worse – turning slowdowns into recessions and recessions into depressions. And they’ll have a point. I was chief economist at the World Bank from 1996 until last November, during the gravest global economic crisis in a half-century. I saw how the IMF, in tandem with the U.S. Treasury Department, responded. And I was appalled.

The IMF/World Bank?

Everybody knows about the IMF/World Bank!

In Quantum the PM's special advisor Guy Haynes is discovered to be a member of Quantum. Bond exposes them all at the Opera, and then they go after Bond for some reason.

There was a script outline for Bond and I don't no whether it was Quantum of Skyfall now, where in previous films Bond is trying to stop an evil organisation taking over the world, but in this scenario the organisation had already taken over the world. But they didn't quite go that far in Casino/Quantum/Skyfall.

... for a superficially light-hearted show the THRUSH acronym in Man from Uncle is quite heavy on the Huxleyan/ Eugenicist overtones

Technological Hierarchy for the Removal of Undesirables and the Subjugation of Humanity

THRUSH's aim was to conquer the world. Napoleon Solo said, in "The Green Opal Affair", "THRUSH believes in the two-party system—the masters and the slaves," and he stated in the pilot episode ("The Vulcan Affair"), THRUSH "kills people the way people kill flies—a reflex action—a flick of the wrist." So dangerous was the threat from THRUSH that governments—even those most ideologically opposed, such as the United States and the USSR—had cooperated in the formation and operation of U.N.C.L.E. Similarly, on those occasions when Solo and Kuryakin held opposing political views, the friction between them in the storyline was held to a minimum.

I've been watching the first series of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, first shown in the 1960s.

Extremely good call

I have noticed that while the Americans are up against political entities such as the People's Republic, there is an overarching secret group that are trying to manipulate all the powers.

Every now and again, you'll run into someone repeating a corporate media line that 'conspiracy theories' have only really penetrated mass consciousness with the advent of the Internet.

It's a compelling thesis. Provided you disregard all the many conspiracy theories that did penetrate mass consciousness before the advent of the Internet - that unfortunate business in Germany in the 20s and 30s, the Red Scare in the US in the 50s. US television from the 50s and 60s is dripping with conspiranoia.

impo the Internet is responsible for the appeal of Conspiracy Theories no more than it is responsible for the human appetite for pictures of t1ts and kittens.
