What Is The Wilmslow Pownall Park Area Like, In Comparison With Hale, Hale Barns?

Recommended Posts

After years of renting, we're finally ready to get on the property ladder. We're looking the South Manchester area, but don't really know it too well. From driving through, and having a walk around we liked Wilmslow and Hale, Hale Barns.

Ideally after a 3 bedroom house, and have a budget of £380k. Would like to be reasonable near to a good primary school, and hopefully not too far from a train station. Wilmslow seemed more affordable than Hale - the EA descriptions seem to talk up the Pownall Park area a lot. Would really appreciate any views of what they think of the area, and how it compares to Hale and Hale Barns.

Clearly another factor is how true the values stay over the next few years, but I don't expect anybody here to have a crystal ball. From a quick look at previous selling prices, those areas don't seem to have historically dropped too much, and I guess that's about as much as I can go on.

Apologies, bit of a long winded post, but really am just after peoples views on the three areas, and any things we should be aware. of.

Many thanks.

If the house is right buy it, it seems expensive for manchester but what do i know.

If you are buying a house to live in then it does not matter if the price goes up or down.

I live down the road. For £380 the only property for sale in the pownall park area for that sort of price is a property on with gascoigne halman on kings road.

you better be quick because by monday it will be under offer.

plenty more to choose from in wilmslow.

I may be biased but having tried to buy in both hale and knutsford, wilmslow is less in your face I'm richer than you are, but only marginally so. needless to say we did not try to buy in alderley edge.
