Theives Tunnel For Cash

Recommended Posts

From the Article - Police said they were looking for "people acting suspiciously, possibly covered in soil".

Digging that tunnel seems like lot of work for 80k.

Years ago I used to work in a local bank branch in a small town. Sometimes I used to dream of robbing the cash machine reserves which were available to stock the cartridges up when you were called out outwith bank hours to fill it or whatever the problem was. There was a lot more than 80k stashed! The problem was that you would have had to have been in cahoots with the other security code holder. In those days if there was any sniff of anyone having affairs one of the suspects was transferred to another branch

Salfordians have always been entrepreneurial.

The irony is that if they'd called themselves IGas, set up their tunneling operation 1/2 mile down the road at Barton Moss, and liberated energy rich hydrocarbons instead of crisp new £10 notes they'd have the governments blessing and the police preventing anyone from stopping them.

Strange world.
