The Poor Gamble

Recommended Posts

More than £13bn was gambled on high-speed, high-stakes gambling machines by the poorest quarter of England's population – double the amount staked in the richest areas, according to a study obtained by the Guardian.

So what % of benefit spend is that?

No surprises there, as we all know the lottery is inverted taxation to give money to wealthy middle class charity workers and middle class leisure activities such as Opera.

Add to that excise duty on cigs and alcohol and money just slips through the fingers of the underclass on nothing. It's the State reclaiming the Welfare benefits.

The rich do their gambling in the City- that way if they lose they get bailed out by the poor.
