Bedsite Above Derelict Shop - Bargain At 340k

Recommended Posts

I know the "most overprices s*** hole" topic has been done to death, but a 340K bedsit above a run-down shop has to be worth its own thread

It's about 30 seconds from my office, so it's handy for work - and a snip at just over ten times my salary

Ity houses a FOLD UP BED!!!

There is NO BEDROOM!!

Well, what do you expect for 340K?

;)

The agent says it can be converted into a one-bed for "investment purposes" - Can't help thinking that handing five pound notes to grateful strangers would be a better medium-term strategy

You might be on the right track regarding handing over of money, but from grateful strangers for services rendered.

No shortage of passing trade - this "surprisingly tranquil" spot is like Babylon most nights

Yeah, but think of the ATMOSPHERE (ie. 24 hour traffic and a constant grey glow to your freshly washed clothes!)

I reckon it could be a fantastic money spinner.

Don't bother about the renovation, there must be plenty of sole-traders who would be willing to rent the property on an hourly basis.

How's that for a BTL strategy?

I bet you the cash flows would more than stack up.
