Nothing's changed

Prices have shot up ( in London and the local asking prices for stuff that's not sold in 5 years ) but it's different in London, this time.

We have a new paradigm.

Liar loans have been banished.

BTLers are all making great profits.

Savers and workers, the back bone of the economy, are being rewarded with huge pay rises and high interest rates.

Plenty has changed....for the worse.

We have a new paradigm.

Oh yeah. We got that alright. I think it's called irreversible doom. LOL!

Actually, I'm taking refuge here from the Daily Telegraph blogs which have become totally infected with lefty trolls shouting everybody down.

Does that mean you still buy into the false left-right paradigm?

Not at all

The left-right paradigm is designed to keep the people divided and without any hope of unity or common purpose

That's how the PTB stay in power, "divide and conquer"

You have come to the wrong place if you want to get away from lefty's (i'm a lefty myself).

But when I joined this site 5 years ago I would have said it was extreme right even had people on here that thought Hitler was a lefty.

Voting UKIP next time though

Fascism has its roots in socialist ideology.

I would describe fascism as the right wing of socialist ideology and communism as the left wing

Conservatism and libertarianism are neither.

That's my personal interpretation since i don't believe there is any similarity between true conservatism and fascism.

The British Conservative Party is not "conservative." I don't believe we have ever had a conservative government in the UK, not even Thatcher

Years back I thought I was the only left leaner here, times really have changed. UK Debt Slave, there have been lots of name changes & new accounts added on this forum :P but some oldies are still about.

When I joined this site, it was rabidly libertarian. There was an obsessive zeal for gold hoarding and warnings of imminent financial collapse.

Anyone remember Cgnao? (Hyperinflationary collapse next week! We're DOOMED! BUY GOLD NOW!)

What happened to Injin? Is he still about?

Seems the lefties have totally taken over all the former libertarian forums and websites. There are fewer and fewer places for us to hide! LOL!

Always someone else's fault, responsibility.....blame then claim is the name of the game.....do wrong knowingly then pay the going fine to make it all alight, rinse and repeat....keeps the money flowing. ;)

Cgnao moved over to GEI for a while. Think he was outed, then left. Last visit I know of was maybe 3 years ago. Have you come across him on your travels? That screaming cat would be hard to miss...

Nope. I got fed up with HPC around that time because there were a few people including Cgnao prophecising the imminent "End of the World" scenario and it just got really depressing.

I wouldn't want to have followed any of those people.

I wondered if you'd remember. You'd have to look at your old posts.

Did I have some problem formatting the text?

Last poll, was 52% UKIP and in second place, none of the above on 17%.

Hardly,left wing by any standards.

This forum was electric once upon a time. Obviously it helped the excitement factor when the financial crises was starting, and this forum always seemed to be 2 steps ahead of what was being announced. And that’s what made CGNAO and others interesting to listen to. And if the banksters hadn’t changed the rules you never know what might have happened. Realist Bear was another good poster, as was Injin and Longtime Lurker (was that his name?). The forum is boring these days (of course the banksters are playing the slow game now which adds to it).

Only thing I check in for is the bitcoin thread (and if you want to smash this system, bitcoin will do that).

UKIPpers have taken over the Telegraph forums and the DT editorial are NOT at all happy about it since Benedict Brogan and Damian Thompson are propagandists for the Tory party so they have employed a team of hardcore trolls to shout down and hector anyone who posts positive comments about UKIP.

It got so bad that I gave up and left

It's all a bit sad when a leading newspaper employs people to destroy free speech on its own blogs.

I think we do ourselves a disservice if we make out we called things wrong. The consensus was for a 35-40% correction in inflation adjusted prices, which is what we got to the nadir of 2012. Furthermore the forum foresaw the slump in the run up to 2007.

It was a very interesting time. We all knew the wheels were coming off years before it happened

But we didn't figure the PTB would be able to keep such a rotten corrupt monetary and financial system going.

I'm still quite amazed the whole system didn't collapse in 2007-8
