Banks £130 Billion Warchest

Recommended Posts

Wait.. so its not actually theirs then, it's savers money?

Given people are not saving, getting poorer, chucking it into overpriced assets etc they will eat into existing savings, l expect several plus million people can chew through £130bn quite quickly.

Gonna be a long time til savings rates increase

printing means they dont need savers at all..indeed, you could launch a bank into space, untether it from the Earth, and it would become a completely self growing organism...All it needed in the pod was a supply of paper and ink on which to write new Promisorry notes whenever the wage bill turned up.

They may spend it but it probably still ends up in a bank account somewhere.
