Actually still a bit low imo. The rapid growth at the end of 2013 is already in the bank and will distort a 2014 on 2013 whole year comparison, which is how GDP is calculated annually.

I would refer everyone to the UK borrows £12B in December thread.

GDP seems to me to be a measure of growth in debt rather than growth in anything else.

Indeed, and therefore you have to question how long we can keep this up. The 2015 election should just about cover it.

It seems to reflect a growth in debt and a growth in house prices and a shrinkage in just about everything else.
