ntb
I know there are a few gardeners that pop up around here and statistically speaking, I think it's more likely that I might like HPC people than the general population so I'm offering you my junk err, so to speak. I have a big surplus of clay pots that I am unable to make use of and I can't be bothered to try and sell so if you live close enough to Leicester to justify the time and fuel you are welcome to have them. The only proviso is it's a job lot - all or nothing. If N of you want to share that's fine, just turn up together and make sure they all go at once. blobloblob
Have you considered keeping them and devising a popular children's animated series?
ntb
Have you considered keeping them and devising a popular children's animated series? Hmm, something like Brenda and Betty, the Clay Pot Ladies? I ran it past Harriet Harman and she approves but I doubt it will catch on.
ntb
You realise you could solve the UK's energy needs with those...and a few Tea lights. It's too dangerous I fear. They've been stored outside and are damp. The amount of steam generated would almost certainly result in 'The Fog' by James Herbert becoming reality and I don't want to be responsible for that. It would make my wife really cross.

Rave
Put them on Freecycle if you don't get a bite on here, I'd be surprised if that doesn't result in several enquiries!

I might but I was hoping they would go to someone who will genuinely make use of them than some chancer who will then flog them on a well known auction site. I shall be speaking to my solicitor forthwith To be fair, proper clay pots are hard to come by nowadays, they all seem to be chepo plastic types......some plants grow far better in the natural clay pots......I hope yours go to a good home. Freecycle is full of gardening types as far as I can see, so you are likely to get a genuine taker. I also doubt that they're worth enough for anyone to go to the bother of ebaying them! Anyway, a last resort maybe, some chancer collecting them from you and then ebaying them is still a better outcome than you taking them to the tip yourself! I have loads of old books to get rid of here- I'm not going to donate them to charity shops because I got nearly all of them from charity shop bins in the first place! All of them are available on Amazon for £0.01. So my plan is to list them on freecycle as being ideal for boot sale sellers....
