Top End Price Crash

Recommended Posts

Don't browse the 1million+ props too often but what struck me was that most of them have been on for ages.

EDI New town asking prices look to have dropped a couple of hundred k at the top end.

Anyone got any evidence of falls at the top?

I notice that up my way as well. People sticking for ages with a high price, no sale. Or if you track the price when they do sell, they've taken a big drop. But up here in the deprived north, the line is a little lower, somewhere between £500k and £750k, anywhere but in the very best areas.

I keep an eye on a couple of properdees around my way, just for a laugh. Both have been on for about 3 years. One has changed agents twice and the price has dropped from £5M to £2.95M, still no takers. The other has dropped from offers over £2M to offers over £1.75M, I reckon they'd be hard pushed to get £1M for it when compared to similar stuff (that didn't sell) nearby.
