OnionTerror
I'm currently looking into methods of customers being able to pay via a mobile.. The original thought was via a dedicated mobile card reader, but that now seems old hat.. You can get apps for Android & iPhone, which provide a way, and with some firms, they provide a card reader - for a fee of course of course (but this seems to make the fees cheaper).. I did see https://sumup.co.uk/ (who seem to charge the lowest fees I've currently seen), but they rely on sending a text to the customer, and then they use their phone to make payment...Not keen on that method, as not everyone has a web-enabled phone... Can anyone suggest / recommend a good, cheap reliable service?
exasperated
My business uses a bluetooth mobile card reader from Elavon http://tellmemore.elavon.com/mobilemerchant/ We've been successfully using their mobile device forthe last 2 years. Overall it was the cheapest we could find, though you do have to pay £99 for the reader.

If possible, I may be looking at having a feature whereby, after payment, the customer can be sent an invoice via email, which can be personalised with the company / customer details. exasperated
Fees are 2.75% per transaction, no other fees, though their website says there is a £25 joining fee. http://www.elavon.co.uk/merchant-services/small-business/buy-now Our business operates in the open air and at the time, this was the only mobile solution we could find. Customer is sent a text confirming the transaction.
