Cameron / Obama Take A Selfie...

Recommended Posts

Michelle not too impressed, seems more statesman like than these clowns.

The service clearly meant something to her (and I'm not saying because she's black, though admittedly that would make it more likely to mean something to her) whereas to the others it was just another foreign jolly.

Nearly as good as the picture of milibore given the evils to Clintoon and clegg.

In every way miliband looks like a petulant child who never actually grew up.

The stills don't look good but if you watch the video it is much less obvious, maybe we are reading too much into Milipede's looks. A bit too easy to go through frame by frame and pick out the pictures that tell a certain story.

Miliband looks dreadful though.

"Police were expecting a crushing crowd at FNB stadium and had set up overflow points with big screen TVs, but the foul weather and public transportation problems kept many people away.

The 95,000-capacity stadium was only two-thirds full.

 So it didn`t turn into the hysterical emotional w*ankfest that the media would have liked then?

Just a collection of mainly evil people saying goodbye to a better man than them.

IMO, of course.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/news/david-cameron-explains-selfie-with-obama-and-helle-thorningschmidt-at-mandela-memorial-8998090.html

David Cameron has attempted to explain why he decided to lean in for a ‘selfie’ with Barack Obama and the Danish prime minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt during Nelson Mandela’s memorial service in Johannesberg yesterday.

Speaking to MPs today, he said: “When a member of the Kinnock family asked me for a photograph, I thought it was only polite to say yes.”

Thorning-Schmidt, the Social Democrat leader in Denmark, is married to former Labour leader Neil Kinnock’s son, Stephen Kinnock.

However, his comment may do little to offset the outrage sparked by the whimsical mobile photo, which many deemed ‘inappropriate’ given the nature of the occasion.

Well I'm convinced.

Don't delete our selfie! Cameron asks Danish PM to keep Mandela memorial picture featuring Obama and auction it for charity'

Helle Thorning-Schmidt said she 'wanted to delete' the image

But in a 'private conversation', Cameron apparently asked her to sell it

It's said he suggested auctioning it off to raise 'substantial' cash

The Dane had described the picture as not 'particularly good'

Photograph was taken at Nelson Mandela's memorial service

Dane previously defended the shot saying it was just 'a bit of fun'

A genius bit of PR. I'm sure loads of people would want to buy it.....
