Us Black Friday Sales Fall For 1St Time In 7 Years

Recommended Posts

Those mad sales images are always a bit like grateful Libyans dancing with new looking flags they've conveniently found to hand.

The only ones I ever readily believe are the doleys scrapping over flatscreen tellies.

Anyway, Cyber Monday today - although like last year it may need a re-run next week.

The name doesn't give any scope if anything really bad happens on a Friday does it.

Every other day of the week that colour's associated with bad stuff - but Friday's it's because of shopping "bargains"

They claim it's for bargains for goodness sake so why not call it something like Rainbow Friday or even Incredible Friday.

On the other hand they should get straight to the point and call it Britain's Bankrupt Friday. It's more apt for Britain than something to do with Thanksgiving.

It is amusing ******** that on the back of Black Friday they have created Cyber Monday the biggest day for online sales. Can't think why that would be, still it made the TV news programmes so worth the marketing spend on PR.

But I thought shoppers were rampaging through stores like crazed zombies from 28 Days Later

Only in Croydon, I here they are trying the Black Friday "grab a bargain" think here. What luck for us hard pressed consumers

Hope they were at the regulatory higher price for the right period of time tucked on the corner of a few stores somewhere before being reduced.....double it to half price it....what a bargain?

Or buy something at a great discount and a few other things at a marked up price......no savings there, how can you spend money to save money? ;)

It's called black Friday because it's the time of year when shops bank balance goes into the black.
