GinAndPlatonic
isn't it possible to tell the credit card company paypal is taking fraudulent payments and put a block on it? Try proving they are, or are facilitating fraud. The thing with Paypal, is their agreement (between you and them) is something like over 500,000 words long from memory, with sections, sub sections etc etc. It is watertight, and to my mind very much in their favour. They are are not a merchant Bank and do not play by the same rules as say, Barclays (are they any better?). When you sign up with them they have the right (if they believe you or someone you are communicating with or making transactions with are committing fraud) to take control of any monies you have lodged with them, and also can take money from any bank account or Visa credit card account you have lodged with them, because that is what you agree to when you take out an account with Paypal. PS like oligotroph said earlier...people are always shocked by how much power they unknowingly signed over to paypal....Paypal are all sweetness and light until they are not.. then they are the complete opposite.
