Uk City Of Culture 2017 - Down To 4 Choices

Recommended Posts

Swansea, Hull, Dundee or Leicester.

In other news - how would you like to die - aids, cancer, brain tumour or piano on head.

I am always worried about dangerously winched pianos!

Where's Doncaster, and Bridgwater on that list? ;)

Getting UK City of Culture is like winning the prize for trying hardest in school.

If you're any good in the first place then you don't make the shortlist.

When's the decision due? Before or after Scotland votes?

Before, this month as a matter of fact. I truly hope that Dundee becomes the first UK city of culture that isn't part of the UK ;)

I remember going for an open day at Leicester university back in 2001 when I was looking at uni's. They laid on a bus trip for prospective students. About 50% of it was spent circling the birthplace of Gary lineker. Still, it was better than Durham universities business school campus open day (actually in stockton) where the bus passed a murder scene.

Nowt wrong with leicester. Unfortunately absolutely nothing special about it either. Nonetheless, im sure its less odious than the other three.
