Housing Being Done On This Week - Now

Recommended Posts

Yeah saw that. blah blah blah whatever.

Portillo said a few things based on reality, but seemed to think rents are raising to match value increases. Maybe more true in london but at a fundamental level its plain that rents are affordability based. Depressing how many commentators simply don't understand very simple fundamentals surrounding this problem, BUT he did at least string together cause and effect relating to low interest rates and high prices.

No-one said that lower prices would help.

House prices being too high on account of the Brown easy credit/liar loans bubble simply doesn't enter their minds?

Good for George Clarke giving it a go. Thatcher housing sell off and failure to replace stock; failure of private sector to build - they don't want to build 'low cost' housing.

His Amazing Spaces programme is very good.

Amazing isn't it? They will not talk of it. The denial is breathtaking.

It doesn't compute. Credit is for plebs so as to make the rich richer.
