One For The Bulls

Recommended Posts

Many bearish posters want to know why they have to ''fund the boomers' retirement'' by buying at ''rip off'' prices...............or why pay £150k for something that was £50k a few years ago.....

Well the boomers did too........and everyone else along the way.........

My Grandparents' 3 bed semi bought 1935 £ 475

'' parents' '' '' '' '' 1959 £3600........657% increase in 24 years

price of same house 1984 £38000......905% increase in 25 years

2005 £ 210000... 452% increase in 21 years

The middle period of course took in the high inflation 70s but even during the other periods price growth was more than in recent years.......................
