A Waitrose Nearby Equals Hpi?

Recommended Posts

I shop in Waitrose because of the MILFs and the fact Tesco is like something out of Little Britain

I don't own a house either

....toilet rolls are better quality and weigh more per pound than the best tesco can offer imo...tesco holes are bigger and the paper less dense more air. ;)

I don't find Waitrose any more expensive than Tesco anyway!

My parents always shop at Tesco but when they are covered in the media comment on them taking over everywhere...idiots.

Tesco used to be better than they are now.....they just lost the plot, they provide an adequate service but they are not the best....middle of the road nothing outstanding, nothing special and they waste far to much, would rather waste than pass savings any savings onto their customers, not all their customers carry their cards. ;)

No Waitrose in Huddersfield so house prices remain relatively modest. Almost sane in some case...amazingly.

Gone are the days when I used to shop at Waitrose Canary Wharf and hob nob with various celebrities, Sir Ian McKellen and others

A Waitrose pushes up HP considerably - especially in suburb/rural locations - possibly even more than schools now that the avg home owner demographic is getting older.

I knew house prices in the area were on the the up whilst in the local waitrose I overhead a father say to his son "put the papaya down Orlando"

(shamelessly nicked from somewhere maybe here)

I was struck by the sheer poetry of the thread title and felt compelled to add more lines:

Waitrose nearby

Equals HPI

Sainburys for sure

Will make prices soar

Tesco at hand

Enhances the land

Asda next door

Price hits the floor

Short walk to Lidl

No room to fiddle

But if you’re adjacent

To Fortnum and Mason

Then there is no ending

To your house price ascending

Roses are red

Violets are blue

Nothing rhymes with morrisons

So ****** you.

I bought a flat over Poundland

Just me and my faithful whippet

A coat of paint and some laminate

My intention was to flip it...

But six months on the market

It was only viewed by investors

The offers were derisory

What a load of ******* jesters!

I've lost a pile; I'm renting now

Above the chicken shop

There's lots of fights on Friday nights

The sirens never stop

But now they've opened a Waitrose

My Poundland flat's just sold -

For three times what I got for it!

I feel like I've been rolled..

I must be getting old...
