Business loans and mortgages...

A local bank for local people...

Let's hope it's a bit more stable than the famous surf reef. The boss of the firm who 'built' it is still missing...

Why is a council using tax payer money so council officials can play at being bankers...hopefully when the bank loses money local councillors will be surcharged

Perhaps so they can get around the government, lend to themselves to build council housing?

Why not...they use tax payers money to play at being businessmen too.

In fact, they just play...at everyone's expense.

Let's not forget the Imax building debacle, the redevelopment of the square taking most of the nineties and the aborted spur road repairs (was that Bnm Brgh Council's fault too?). Oh, plus Jimmy Saville living here once.

Edit: oh, and the Castlepoint carpark **** up. I like Bournemouth but it does seem to be a seventies sit-com at times.
