More Than One Share Dealing Account?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I wonder if some of you can help me with the follwing?

I currently have a share self dealing ISA with Selftrade. I also have a cash ISA with TSB whose bonus is due on the 22nd October.

I am thinking of moving the cash ISA into a share dealing ISA. So here are two questions:

1. Has anyone moved a cash ISA from a non-Selftrade account to a share dealing ISA, already set up, with Selftrade? If so, were there any pitfalls, how long did it take, etc?

2. Should I be thinking about not putting all my eggs in one basket and simply moving the cash ISA into a second ISA dealing account with someone other than Selftrade?

The benefit of doing this would be not having all my eggs, as I said, in one basket but will fees/dealing charges/costs negate the benefits?

Thanks for any thoughts.
