Police have also made contact with members of the missing couple's family.

The house sold at some point - so what solicitor did the paperwork on that? Had the rules tightened up by then?

He said the current owners of the house were not part of the investigation at this time and confirmed no arrests had been made.

A neighbour said an elderly couple had lived in the property in the 1990s but had disappeared.

I would have thought burying 2 bodies in that part of the garden would have raised some suspicion especially after the occupants went missing.
