"slightly Scuffed" Vibrator

Recommended Posts

I'm a proper HPC frugalista but even my jaw dropped a little at this post I stumbled across a few years back:

Is it unreasonable to spend 5 minutes hiding crying in the loo at work, because your reasonably well-off, if somewhat ...er... frugal, boyfriend has bought you a second-hand vibrator (slightly scuffed at the top) from ebay for Christmas?

I ask merely for information.

lame present, unless he was deliberately taking the p1ss, in which case she may be a passively willing target by being so easily impressed with wealth

Not reasonable in the slightest to hide in the loo crying. Much more sensible to take it when visiting the inlaws or to a party at his work, and pull it out saying "look what he got me for my gift! Isn't it fun in an ironic kind of way? Who wants to have a go?"
