Funnily enough I have just opened an account with Peter Schiff's bank. Fully reserved up (as you would expect). My friends in the USA are pig sick because they can't open one there. It's open to everybody except Americans...ironic eh?

Interesting, I'm not very familiar with Schiff but I like the sound of a full reserve bank. I suppose the downside is coming to terms with the lack of deposit insurance (in terms of fraud prevention given that it's not a fractional operation).

I'd be interested to hear from anyone who thinks that having an account with Euro Pacific is a really bad idea.

Is that for a specific purpose or as a replacement for your 'day-to-day' bank account?

Looking around their site now and it looks worthwhile.

CNBC's excellent Simon Hobb's leaves Peter Schiff speechless (5 minutes in).

I quite like the CNBC, many of the presenters are excellent. Can be combative and entertaining at the same time.

Especially Helia Ebrahimi their UK Business Editor who is lovely and puts Flounders etc to shame.

Just got an email from that bank, they rejected my application because their checks indicate I'm a US citizen.

Probably it was a friday and they wanted to get to their mansions in the hamptons and couldnt be bothered to argue. CNBC is the network of the Cramers and Liesmans. Not to be trusted. They only get austrians/anti-statists on to ridicule them.
