Recommended Posts

strange name but a very useful site

Not sure any of us have figured out how to use it to identify the tune yet.

If it's the Blue Peter theme tune, it's probably Blue Peter.

You are sillier than I am! :P

I like the site, well, I think I will when I figure out how to use it.

I haven't found any tune to identify - not mkz's tune anyway

Strange the tune was there last night (I didn't know what it was) but I can't see it either today

That might be the problem. You can't 'see' tunes.

Perhaps you meant 'picture'. Or 'vegetable'. One can see pictures, and vegetables.

If you need anyone to name vegetables, I'm the man. I can name most vegetables.

I usually give them all the same name, like 'Kevin', because it's difficult to tell one carrot from another.

Yes difficult

Ah excellent, thanks for the good advice, as you are the expert can you name the vegetable that sounds red and is sour to touch?

You haven't met my mate "Kevin the Carrot", have you? ;)

I certainly know and love that tune, but I'm damned if I can remember what it's from, other than a program broadcast on kids TV in the late 80s (I was born in 1979). I have a feeling that it might be the end credit music from a show with a different opening theme- Henry's Cat is my best guess.

What do you know? Youtube comes up trumps:

Edit Reason- can't seem to embed and timestamp at the same time. End credits from about 14:30.

I see, so that's why she killed that rabbit.

Maybe the tune can be identified, by process of elimination.

I can start by saying it's definitely not Around The World With Willy Fog or Dogtanian And The Muskehounds.

Anyone got a badge? Looks like you get free entry to the Rowntree's Fruit Pastille museum with one.

Correct. Fine theme tunes though, and well worth embedding:

...they seemed to be on a continuous loop from when I was 5 to 12, so I never managed to absorb either of their curious Japanese/Spanish narratives.

See also the Franco/Japanese Mysterious Cities Of Gold:

But if we're on a quest for the best 80's kids show theme tune, this surely knocks the rest into a cocked hat:

Ulyseee-uueeess-uueess!

Anyone who doesn't like that is no friend of mine!
