If - and its a big if - they actually do something concrete, it could be a GREAT example to put in front of both politicians here and those fools that think that high house prices are good. If they have good analysis and soundbites, I am ready to use them...!

Won't that likely just feed any boom in short-term?

I do wonder if one or two smart governments might make it through all this smelling of roses - but then I get on to wondering if that is possible.

If a government does the right thing locally they may come out of it with a too strong currency and be uncompetitive internationally so screw themselves more.

It's almost like the only way to win is to get to the bottom first.
