Syrian Asylum Seekers Occupy A Roof And Footbridge In Calais Demanding 'take Us To The Uk'

Recommended Posts

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2443685/Syrian-asylum-seekers-occupy-roof-footbridge-Calais-demanding-Take-UK.html

Dozens of Syrian asylum seekers were today occupying a roof and footbridge in Calais and demanding: ‘Take us to the United Kingdom’.

Riot police were trying to control the group, all of whom want to claim housing and benefits in Britain rather than France.

Around 40 of them have gone on hunger strike and refuse to move from the key bridge in the Calais ferry port.

I wonder in the Wail editor come in his pants when he heard this story. Plenty to wind up the readership here about.

Cameron gets his wish after all then.

They go on hunger strike. Just put up barriades and starve them out.

If they want asylum, they should claim in the country they dirst enter. Asylum should be refused by the UK and they should be deported immediately if they arrive.

Their protest is not about asylum, but getting benefits off the UK taxpayer.

Always seems strange to me when you see these 'refugee camps' in the mid east or africa, they are full of families...men women and children of all ages. When you see queues of 'asylum seekers' here, they're almost entirely men, aged 15-40. Anyone would think theyre economic migrants.

Yep, always said this. There are no genuine asylum seekers in the UK because to get here they will have passed through multiple countries in which they would have been able to claim and receive political asylum.

They do not however have such generous benefits systems. Although maybe we are FINALLY doing something about that.

Why would they want asylum in the UK?

They are already in a safe place!!!

Something to do with the Welfare state?

On balance these would probably turn out to be hard working persons once they got settled.

Ironic these will be refused entry but the hordes of spongers. thieves and vagabonds Farage bangs on about will be free to come and go.

Yep,thats easy to say that when the countries who are on the front line such as Malta southern Spain Italy and Greece are the ones who are having to put up with asylum seekers.

They don't want them a couple of million in Malta maybe?

As for the Syrians in Calais the french will let them stay but they want to go to the UK maybe its got something to do with Dave who wanted to save them .

They should be allowed to go to the UK and then just send them back to Syria say to there faces instead of leaving them in France where they don't want to be.

Not in my back garden leave the problem in somebody else's country.
