Trying to maximise living space so have to make some compromises in terms of location.

I have two potential targets: one is a house but next to ex local high rise block, 10min walk to station

The other one is lower ground flat with garden. Similar distance to station

Both share of free hold, the lower ground flat is smaller, similar price

I think people tend to have some stigma towards living next to council estates and basement flat.

Which one is better or worse? Which one is prob easier to sell when I decide to move on?

Do you think anyone would ever buy it from you? They don't sound like the nicest properties.. Sounds like you are caught between a rock (rent) and a hard place.

Remember, they day you buy is the day you sell. If I had though about it before we bough our first property then I would have never bought it (shudders in horror).

Anyway if it was a choice between a flat and a house, I would go for a house. At least with the house you are not stung for agency fees every year.
