The Sun Is About To Disappear At Midnight

Recommended Posts

An amazingly bad business model! I might pay for the FT, or WSJ, but I'm not paying for the Sun! They should fund it by advertising, having little content of interest!

I really hope the Daily Fail will do the same soon too!!

Amazingly the Mail does not have a tab for "Business" news , but has one for "Bingo", which I guess is a similar thing nowadays!

I think I did see something about if you part with your cash you get to see Prem League goals online!!! Plus something about you'll get £200 worth of offers a month.... Sounded a real bargain or a bit desperate that the readers may not turn up in significant numbers.

Look! Obviously I know Australians can still see it! Their Right Ascension goes backwards!

Yeah, I thought it was THE sun, some off-topic thread about a Santa-Finland marketing scam.

The editor of the Sun was on R4's media show today - made some joke about The Son for their royal baby edition.

I have no online pay subscriptions. Waiting for a safe easy-click system to pay pennies for items I want to read.

This can only strengthen the Daily Mail who will see their online traffic increase. Cue even more pointless stories about silly reality tv glamour girls mixed in with the odd illegal immigrant hate campaign.

Guest eight

I felt like that the first time I loomed up and saw the Moon and not Earth in the distance.

In all of my many wasted hours reading this forum that's probably the oddest post I've come across. Er... well done! (I think  )

I remember Christmas 1968. Apollo 8 was the first mission to orbit the moon, and the astronauts photographed the Earth rising above the lunar horizon. After they landed, colour film was released of the same thing.

It was one of the most moving, beautiful, astounding sights I have ever seen.
