Recommended Posts

The University of Sheffield's Department of Politics today (4 July 2013) welcomed Rt. Hon. David Blunkett as a Visiting Professor in what is set to become the world's first Centre for the Public Understanding of Politics.

The MP for Sheffield and Brightside will be joining world leading political experts at the University in order to contribute valuable academic work as well as policy development at a national level.

Mr Blunkett first joined the University as a mature student in 1969 where he studied Political Theory and Institutions. He worked tirelessly for six years attending evening classes to get the qualifications he had not had access to at school in order to gain a place at the world-leading institution.
