Not sure about the figure quoted but you do wonder if we are going to have to have a fleet of bariatric ambulances for the UK's future population.

for my crash, there were 3 ambulances at one time, 2 fire engines, couple of police cars and at least 4 paramedics I recall coming to help me.

Im not 20 stone.

I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up smashing the bus as a result of a massive coronary.

I've actually seen that happen before. A man back in Canada drove through the corner of a house in my old neighbourhood with his extremely heavy Lincoln Continental Town car, foot to the floor and right through the house. Luckily it was empty at the time. He was revived and banned from driving IIRC.

I was sitting on the veranda (porch) drinking a beer with mates and we saw it live, and also made statements for the cops.
