A fair bit of scepticism there. Main focus seemed to be BoMD, and a notable comment was that if you remortgage your home to provide a deposit for Junior, you're at risk of serious trouble if/when price support is withdrawn and prices fall.

I can't help but think this HTB is merely a delay tactic; to ensure the housing market ''blows up proper'' in 2-3 years time.

Not sure about that. Labour's lead is just 10%, not wide enough a this point in the "cycle". Anything can happen. Though the constituency boundaries' bias in favour of Labour may tip it. Or the LibDems may end up choosing the next government again. It's completely unpredictable.
