What a shame, loved him in the Sopranos. Just realised he was only 37 when that started. Great actor.

Somewhat amazingly even to me, I've never really watched the Sopranos. But Night Falls On Manhattan is a very under-rated and obscure film and he was really good in that. I'll most remember him as the odious slimeball porno producer in 8MM.

The first (pilot) episode of the sopranos was actually filmed a few years (1995 IIRC) prior to its release in 1999 so he would have only been 33!

A solid respected actor by all accounts. I didn't want to like the mob-drama he's best known for as so much, because so much dishonest dealings, cold and chilling, full of people I woudn't want to associate with in the real world. Yet watched every episode in the end. Opposite of Injin world. Still more honest than all the legal financial scamming and politicking that went on during the boom.

His most annoying scam, but repeated in similar ways in the UK, with the home-owning masses applauding higher prices paid, Gordoron happy it's helping GDP, BLTers to soak up LHA, and eager FTBs buyers wanting to borrow to pay even more year on year.

I never watched the Sopranos much when it was televised! I enjoyed dipping into it ! But later I bought the whole boxed set! Probably one of the best series ever! I was a bit shocked to hear this news earlier today! He was younger than me (just)! :(
